In 2019, the Organization for Anabaptist History in Austria asked me to be a part of a compilation album project. The idea was to record new songs inspired by the old Anabaptist hymns and specific historical events that occurred around and after the time of the Reformation. Many people were killed for their faith, some were well recorded, and some were not. This song touches on the stories of the known and unknown martyrs, and also points to the greater message of hope that lives on well after their earthly lives have ended. Plans for recording ended up going the way so many things have gone during the pandemic... so my husband and I just ended up producing it from home, with the help of Tiziano Capiello for audio mastering. Below is the lyric video, and if you scroll down you will find a live version. On June 19, I was able to do some worship and share "I'll Tell Your Story" live with friends (Martina, Karl, and Johannes) at FCG in Linz during a lecture on women's roles in the Anabaptist movement.
